Just because I have made held this website together with digital ductape and brute forcing HTML/CSS, some people out there get the misrepresentation that I am some sort of tech guru. Sure, I enjoy messing about and learning about various software and such, but command line is one of those things that I simply can't be bothered with. Unfortunately, most of the reliable YouTube downloaders rely on the using command line prompts. At least, that's what I thought...

If you're like me and like to keep these sorts of things simple, then yt-bat is the way to go. It's so simple, it is built around yt-dlp, and all you have to do is just download the program and start pasting video URLs in the download.txt file included in the program. It even has the added benefit of downloading from many other websites.

It can be configured to download just audio, hard coded subtitles, and more. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to download/preserve many videos at once.

yt.trolled.lol is a website based downloader, totally ad-less, and created just for the love of the game. It's incredibly straightforward but therefore it is a bit limited in features. I occasionally run into issues downloading videos, but overall it's usually pretty good in a pinch.
